Drill operator, Ollie Clarke found that their existing drill was despite being a good workhorse over the previous 10 years, difficult to work on when there was a problem. Ollie also commented that “the Omega was easy to operate as well as fine tune for all those varying conditions we face every drilling season”. The flexibility of a farms primary machine, such as a drill is vital, especially when soil types and seasons are so different of that of a spread out farming operation like what Clarke Farms traverse. Ed Clarke insisted that “the modern, forward thinking farmer needs to consider more operations in one pass, including that of placing fertiliser where it is needed, helping the common agriculturalists quest to become carbon neutral, with the hope to future proof their system.
Gary Clarke repeated his positives of the OMEGA with a simple sentence, “the Bednar machines are not over engineered, they are engineered well”, and continued with “there has clearly been a lot of thought put into the design of the drill, with wide consolidation tyres, pressurised hoppers and X-formation of the cultivation discs, set the OMEGA apart from other brands”. Sharmans Agricultural salesman, Andrew Channing confirmed the order with an “elbow” so he, and the Clarke family could maintain safe social distancing.
It’s a joy to farm with us.
