The Addington Fund

The Addington Fund

A farming charity that means business.

The Addington Fund is a registered farming charity and our main area of work is to provide homes for farming families living in England and Wales who have to leave the industry, through no fault of their own, and by doing so will lose their home. In times of emergency and where hardship prevails we may be able to assist with a grant towards certain business costs.

Our office is situated in a village called Barford, which is near Warwick, and we currently employ four members of staff.

The ARC-Addington Fund was set up in 2001 as the Churches’ response to Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD), when it distributed grants totalling £10.3 million to over 22,000 applicants. The name was changed to Addington Fund in 2011 and today we focus more on housing, although hardship grants are available, at the Trustees’ Discretion, in times of emergency.
